With a firm commitment to the needs of all segments of the South Florida community, the Florida Youth Orchestra has established a new concert series called "Generations". Focusing on senior adults, many of whom lack access to live classical music, the goal is to provide entertainment and social activity that span the generations.
 Free concerts are presented by FYO ensembles at senior centers, assisted living facilities, nursing homes and condominium or trailer park recreation centers throughout the tri-county area.
Seniors are encouraged to bring family members to concerts, sharing an afternoon of music and the refreshments provided by FYO at the post-concert reception. Our musicians also join the party to interact with the audience.
 Generations is truly an intergenerational program, with beautiful music as a bridge across the ages.

very young. Interactive, lively musical events,
instrument "petting zoo" and repertoire to appeal to the
