Al
Baruch Violin: Disney Tunes (B) Al Baruch was born in Barcelona in 1928.
He came to the United States with his
family in 1934 and resides in Tamarac. Al
has spent much of his life as a cartoonist,
most notably for Walt Disney Animations
studios where he worked on "Peter Pan",
Captain Hook and the Crocodile, and
"Lady and the Tramp", Trusty and Jock.
Following his work at Disney, his talents
as a Design Cartoonist/Animator brought
him to CBS where he developed "Casper
the Ghost" and "Mighty Mouse". For many
years, Al specialized as a political cartoonist and is a well
renowned Holocaust artist. Amber Montes de Oca, a student
protégé of Mr. Baruch, was involved in the decoupage.
