Painted Violin: Music Is Transformation by Heather Hennick (D)

Heather Hennick

Violin: Music Is Transformation (D)

Heather Hennick is currently a resident of Thornhill, Ontario. She received Graphic Design and Creative Art degrees from Dawson College in Montreal and York University in Toronto, a diploma from the Canadian Institute of Floral Design, has RGD Status with the Ontario Graphic Designer Association, and is an award-winning Canadian artist. She is a professional graphic designer, fine artist and an encaustic specialist. Since 2007, the medium she uses is known as “Encaustic”, which combines purified beeswax, pigment and damar crystals (tree resin) for hardening. She teaches private workshops and uses art as therapy. Her fine art process is expressionist and intuitive with a value on the use of color and texture and the importance of process. Recently, Heather has been embedding natural elements, such as eggshells and sacred stones into the beeswax. Visit Heather’s artwork at www.fineartamerica.com.
