Violin: Star Performer (J)
Born in Caracas, Venezuela, this self-taught
award-winning artist and gallery owner has
been surrounded by the arts his entire life.
Francisco, a long-time Florida resident, finds
that painting is a way to relax and express
himself. Attempting to share his commitment
to a greener planet, recycling and reuse are
ongoing themes in his art. He works mainly
with acrylic on canvas, infusing a vibrant mix
of colors with a variety of subject matter. In
his latest body of work, POP Art, and as seen
in the violin, Francisco manipulates and incorporates
soda cans, reflecting his passions for
mixed media and metal work – and in his own
way, transforms the disposable into something
