Since 1988, over 20,000 children have been
educated and inspired by their participation
in the Florida Youth Orchestra. As the
area's only regional children's arts
organization, FYO is highly regarded for its
commitment to the finest quality music
education, widespread community engagement,
and sensitivity to the musical, social and
emotional needs of children.
Currently, there are over 450 students, ages
5-18, from Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach
counties, representing nationalities that span
the globe and a rich diversity of ethnic
background, religion and socioeconomic
circumstance.
Again and again, the Florida Youth Orchestra
has proven to be the spark that leads to
life-changing choices, opportunities and
achievements.
But, in addition to music training, extensive
outreach activity is a hallmark of the
organization, including its STEPS project,
which annually provides hundreds of at-risk
children with free instruments and music
lessons.
FYO's programming also reaches to underserved
populations; children with Autism; senior
citizens and residents with special needs.
As you can imagine, a program of such scope
and quality is costly. In order to go
forward, beyond this quarter-of-a-century....we
ask for your help.
When you make a tax-deductible donation to
the 501(c)3 Florida Youth Orchestra, your
investment goes well beyond music
training. You'll make a potent impact on
the lives of young people, developing
life-altering attributes such as self-esteem,
responsibility, flexibility and
cooperation. Your gift will also have a
positive effect throughout the community, with
cultural enrichment that touches the lives of
all segments of our population.
Of course, your contribution will be
gratefully acknowledged and included in all
season literature, seen by thousands
throughout South Florida. We sincerely
appreciate your support and look forward to
meeting you at our performances, where you can
take pride in the success you have helped to
make possible.
